Unboxing Malifaux - Akaname

"Hungry?"

The Akaname box contains enough parts for three miniatures...namely the Akaname. It also contains stat cards for them though there are no upgrade cards.

Akaname - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it  as well as the aforementioned cards. Here's pictures of both sides of it...

Akaname - Stat Card
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Akaname - Instructions

Some General Notes on Assembly.
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Akaname

Akaname A- Assembled
You'll need to attach the legs to the front body section before attaching the rear body as otherwise there isn't room to slot them into place. The tongue is also quite thin so be careful when removing the attached piece from the sprue.

Akaname B- Assembled
The tongue on this model is quite thin and the attachment point between it and the apple isn't very large so you'll probably have to hold this in place until it adheres properly, The feet are also quite small though they do have decent attachment points.

Akaname C- Assembled
As with the other Akaname models the only real weak point is the tongue. There's also room to attach the other half of the dustbin after the main piece is attached to the model should you forget to do so beforehand.

Akaname - Rotational View
Here's some rotational views of the three Akaname.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

  1. On that last one I didn't realise it was a tongue and thought it was a tail! I think it looks pretty good with a little pig tail though :)
